Ladeene Ladue

When it comes to my art, I don't limit myself to just one medium. I love to experiment with watercolor, mixed media, ink, acrylic, graphite, and even alcohol. What motivates me to create? Well, it's the ever-changing moods of nature, the beauty of the world around me, and the play of light and colors that stir something deep within me.

I find inspiration not only in the great masters of art history but also in the local artists I'm fortunate to be surrounded by. Their creativity fuels my own, pushing me to develop my own unique voice in my artwork.

Over the years, I've grown less timid about sharing my art. I've learned to paint for myself, letting go of worries about what others might think. And you know what? Most people who see my work love it, often expressing a desire to own a piece for themselves.

Ultimately, I hope my art speaks to others on a personal level, moving them in some way whenever they gaze upon it. Whether it's capturing the fleeting beauty of a flower or the tranquility of a nature scene, I want my art to evoke a sense of satisfaction and connection in those who experience it.

As for why I paint florals? Well, they bring me joy! Flowers are such happy moments, and I love being able to capture that on paper. But who knows? As soon as I find inspiration in other subjects as I have with florals, I'll happily explore and add them to my artistic repertoire.
