Jimmi Toro

BIO

Jimmi Toro is an American contemporary artist, author, composer, multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and a founder of the Rescue11, a non-profit whose mission is to protect our children from awful child abusers.

His art speaks to a balance of control & chaos, struggle & victory, primarily focusing on the human element and the vast emotional connection we all have to each other. Jimmi’s artistic influences include the surrealism of Joan Miró, the prolific variety of Pablo Picasso, the pure indulgence of the Dutch post-impressionist painter Vincent Van Gogh, and the Austrian symbolist painter Gustav Klimt.

Jimmi has also created art for various charity related projects with the Rescue11, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Make a Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and The Orange Duffel Bag Initiative.

STATEMENT

As an artist I am always encountering the unknown when creating, and contending with this unknown when putting my work out there; trying all the while to make sense of it. When someone purchases or even views a piece of art, they can invite beauty into their lives, and in effect, open their eyes to something transcendent, making a lasting connection to, and establishing a relationship with this beauty. This relationship can then expand out into the world and into other elements of their life as they progress on their path towards a better life.
